There are a variety of ways to contact the Reference Desk when you need assistance. No matter what time zone you are in or what time of day you need assistance, the 24/7 Librarian Chat service is available to help you. A chat box is also available on many other pages of the library website, including all the LibGuides. Chat with a a BU librarian during normal operating hours. After hours, questions are answered by other academic librarians who have access to our library resources and information. A message on the chat box will advise you when a BU librarian is not available

Our newest service is Skype for Reference where you can set up a face to face meeting with a librarian from wherever you are. Please allow 24-48 hours for your Skype session to be scheduled and be sure you have Skype installed on your computer.
