Module Three

eCATALOG ADVANCED SEARCH

There may be times you prefer to use the advanced search. You will find the link to that right next to the basic search bar.

eCatalog advanced search

You have probably seen this type of search before. It is very helpful if you want to use an exact phrase in your search or exclude a certain word, or words. For example, you may want to do some research on viruses. To eliminate books on computer viruses from being included in the results, you can type "computer" in the "unwanted items" box. Additionally, you can specify a format or a title, author, or subject. We share a catalog with Grace University Library, so you can choose to see only items held by Bellevue University Library as well. If you forget to include or exclude anything, don't worry, you will have all those ways to Limit Search Results on the left side of your results page.
