Module Three

INFORMATION - GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS

good news

The good news is

INFORMATION IS EVERYWHERE

All the information you need for your paper is out there - if you know where to look.

The bad news is

INFORMATION IS EVERYWHERE

Technology has brought about an explosion of information - but not all of it is useful or even accurate.

Sources of information can include books, periodicals, reports, interviews, newswires, brochures, encyclopedias, websites, sound and video recordings, court cases, even transcripts from television programs - and this is only a partial list. Your instructor will probably tell you what kinds of sources are acceptable, but it is up to you to find them. Knowing something about the various types of sources will help you to know where to look and what to use.

Click on each of the sources below to learn more.
